What you get
Bought before version 1.5.0
Free Supporter license
- The full Supporter feature set, at no further cost
- Window Switcher and Project Groups included
- Nothing to pay, nothing to cancel
Bought version 1.5.0 or later
Credited in full against the Supporter price
- What you paid on the App Store comes off the US$14.99 Supporter price
- You pay only the difference, once
Keeping both is fine. Redeeming does not remove or disable your Mac App Store copy. You can keep using it, and your settings and docked apps can be exported from one edition and imported into the other.
How to do it
- Download Spatial Dock EX and launch it. The free edition needs no key and no account.
- Open Settings → License.
- Choose Redeem a Mac App Store purchase. Spatial Dock EX checks the purchase and tells you which of the two cases above applies.
- Follow the prompt: either your Supporter license activates straight away, or you are taken to a checkout for the remaining difference. Either way the features unlock in the copy you just installed; there is nothing further to download.
Your Mac App Store copy needs to be installed on the same Mac for the purchase to be verified.
Free · The license unlocks it in place
If it does not work
Redemption cannot find my purchase
Make sure Spatial Dock from the Mac App Store is installed on the same Mac, and that you are signed in to the App Store with the Apple Account you bought it with. Launching the App Store copy once before redeeming helps.
If it still fails, write to us with your App Store receipt and we will sort it out by hand.
I bought it as a gift, or on another Apple Account
Redemption checks the purchase on the Mac it runs on. If the purchase sits on a different Apple Account, contact us with the receipt and we will issue the license manually.
I already paid for a Supporter license, then found out I was eligible
Tell us and we will make it right.
Do I lose my settings?
No. Redeeming only changes which features are unlocked. If you are moving from the App Store edition, export your settings and docked apps there and import them into Spatial Dock EX; custom or original app icons can come along too.
